British racing driver Tom Blomqvist is the son of legendary rally driver Stig Blomqvist and has since established a reputation as one of the world’s leading racing drivers with wide-ranging experience across GT competition, the DTM and Formula E.
2010 was Tom’s breakout year. He became Formula Renault UK Championship’s youngest-ever series winner in his rookie year at the age of 16. Tom has tasted further success in single-seaters, winning races in German and European Formula 3 and earned the title of Vice-Champion in the 2014 FIA F3 European Championship. Signing with BMW Motorsport in 2015, Tom contested three years in the DTM with a best championship finish of 6th place. Tom was also utilised by BMW for their GT programme and is a previous winner of Spa 24 Hours.
Tom has previous experience in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship when he returned to single-seater racing in the 2017/18 season. The Anglo-Swede contested six races for MS&AD Andretti, with a best finish of eighth on his debut in Marrakesh and joined Panasonic Jaguar Racing for the final two races of the 2019-20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Berlin, reaching Super Pole on his first day in the car.
