Grand opening of 2015 NEXTEV FSEC in Shanghai
Hosted by the China Automotive Engineering Institute, the 2015 NEXTEV Formula Student Electric China (FSEC) kicked off with style as twenty-eight university teams attended the four-day event’s opening ceremony at the Shanghai International F1 Circuit.
The contest - named after Shanghai-based NEXTEV, with sponsorship from the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and exclusive strategic support from BITAUTO - sees teams enter into hot competition to receive RMB200,000 in sponsorship, together with the opportunity to represent China at the upcoming Formula Student Electric (FSE) event in Germany.
Now in its sixth year, the FSC was created by the China Automotive Engineering Institute in 2010, with over 100 teams participating this year. Yan Jianlai, Deputy Secretary General of China Automotive Engineering Institute & Deputy Director and Secretary General of the FSC said:“The last five years have proven our commitment to discovering, nurturing, and promoting the talent. Every participant aims to transform the Chinese automobile industry from a large manufacturing base to a powerful industry.”
