<p><strong>29. April 2020</strong> - NIO Inc. (NIO) (NYSE: NIO) hat mit einer Gruppe strategischer Investoren endgültige Vereinbarungen über Investitionen in NIO China getroffen und außerdem eine Vereinbarung mit Hefei Economic and Technological Development Area (HETA) über die Errichtung des Hauptsitzes von NIO China in Hefei erzielt. Maßgeblich waren hierbei die Hefei City Construction and Investment Holding (Group) Co. Ltd., die CMG-SDIC Capital Co. Ltd. und die Anhui Provincial Emerging Industry Investment Co. Ltd.<br />

Im Rahmen der Vereinbarungen werden die strategischen Investoren insgesamt 7 Milliarden RMB in die NIO (Anhui) Holdings Ltd. investieren, den Rechtsträger von NIO China. NIO wird seine Kerngeschäfte und Vermögenswerte in NIO China einbringen. Eingeschlossen sind Fahrzeugforschung und -entwicklung, Lieferkette und Produktion, Vertrieb und Dienstleistungen sowie das System NIO Power. Die oben genannten Vermögenswerte haben einen Wert von 17,77 Milliarden RMB. Dieser wurde auf der Grundlage von 85 % des durchschnittlichen Marktwerts von NIO Inc. während der 30 öffentlichen Handelstage vor dem 21. April 2020 berechnet. Darüber hinaus wird NIO 4,26 Milliarden RMB in NIO China investieren. Nach Abschluss der Investitionen wird NIO 75,9 % der Mehrheitsbeteiligung an NIO China halten, während die strategischen Investoren gemeinsam die restlichen 24,1 % halten werden.<br />

Gemäß der Vereinbarung zwischen NIO und der Hefei Economic and Technological Development Area (HETA) wird NIO seinen Hauptsitz in der HETA einrichten. So schafft das Unternehmen die gemeinsame Basis für Geschäftsmanagement, Forschung und Entwicklung, Vertrieb und Dienstleistungen, Lieferkette und Produktion. Außerdem leitet es so die Planung und den Bau des zweiten Produktionszentrums auf der Grundlage der Entwicklungsbedürfnisse von NIO ein. Hefei wird NIO auch bei der Einrichtung und dem Aufbau des Hauptsitzes von NIO China und der nachfolgenden Forschungs- und Entwicklungs- sowie Produktionszentren umfassend unterstützen.<br />

Die strategische Investition und die Einrichtung des Hauptsitzes von NIO China in Hefei sind ein weiterer wichtiger Meilenstein für das langfristige Wachstum von NIO. NIO hat so ausreichende Mittel, um seine Geschäftsentwicklung voranzutreiben, seine Führungsposition bei Produkten und Technologien für smarte Elektrofahrzeuge auszubauen und Dienstleistungen anzubieten, die die Erwartungen der User übertreffen. Bei der Zeremonie nahmen An Jin, Vorsitzender von JAC, und William Li, Gründer, Vorsitzender und CEO von NIO, zusammen mit hochrangigen Beamten der Provinzregierung von Anhui und der Stadtverwaltung von Hefei an der offiziellen Einführung des Programms teil. <p>Der EC6 führt die Hochleistungs-DNA der NIO-Produktfamilie fort. Er beschleunigt in 4,7 Sekunden aus dem Stand auf 100km/h. Zusätzlich zu den 70-kWh- und 84-kWh-Batteriepaketen wird der EC6 auch mit dem neuen flüssigkeitsgekühlten 100-kWh-Batteriepaket ausgestattet sein, das 2020 auf den Markt kommt und die NEFZ-Reichweite auf 615 km erhöht.</p>

<p>Der Start des EC6-Produktionsprogramms im JAC-NIO Advanced Manufacturing Center zeigt nicht nur, dass das Werk in der Lage ist, die Produktion effizient wieder aufzunehmen und gleichzeitig COVID-19 wirksam zu vermeiden und zu bewältigen, sondern vertieft auch die strategische Partnerschaft zwischen NIO und JAC. Der EC6 ist das dritte Serienmodell von NIO, das innerhalb von zwei Jahren im JAC-NIO-Werk erfolgreich eingeführt wurde. <p>Both NIO and its users are tackling the coronavirus in China. Although the outbreak is severe, NIO and its user community are fighting together to combat the epidemic in different forms, both online and offline.</p>

<p>On January 24 (Lunar New Year's Eve), NIO urgently purchased RMB 300,000 (approximately $42,800 USD) worth of medical supplies and shipped them to Wuhan Charity Federation through NIO’s user club in Wuhan.  </p>

<p>NIO, then, quickly utilized its User Trust institution and established the <a href="/blog/nio-announces-nio-coronavirus-fund">NIO Coronavirus Fund</a> worth RMB 5 million (approximately $720,800 USD). With this flexible, open and efficient fund, NIO has actively engaged its users into the battle against the virus. In this fund, RMB 2 million was allocated as charitable fund of which RMB 1 million was directly donated and RMB 1 million was donated with funding. The NIO User Trust is funded by William Li to the users for philanthropic purposes and is supervised and supported by the NIO’s user club in Wuhan.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, NIO has collaborated with WeDoctor, an online healthcare technology platform in China. All NIO APP registered users can access WeDoctor via app and get online medical advice, diagnosis, and therapy counseling services for free.  </p>

<p>According to preliminary statistics, as of February 2, over 14 NIO user clubs in 24 cities of 16 provinces and special administrative regions have raised more than RMB 310,000 and donated a large number of medical supplies, including face masks, gloves, goggles and protective suits, worth nearly RMB 4 million. Among these donations, the NIO User Club itself raised medical supplies worth of over RMB 3 million and donated them directly to hospitals in Wuhan. Moreover, users from around the country, actively responding to the call on the NIO app, have leveraged their personal resources and have taken action to combat the virus outbreak. </p>

<p>NIO users across the country have voluntarily collected and shipped large amounts of supplies to those in need, and more than ten users have been working in Wuhan. Since the coronavirus outbreak, they have been utilizing their ES8 and ES6 vehicles around China to serve front-line medics, make and deliver meals, and donate and transport medical supplies. Two NIO users, as members of the medical teams from Hunan Province and Jiangxi Province, have traveled to Hubei to support local medics. More NIO users also have selflessly dedicated themselves to this battle as front-line medics, builders of the Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital, pilots of military transport aircrafts, etc.</p>

<p>A NIO user from Nanchang with the user name ‘Pangbibi Tianluo’ on the NIO app is a doctor at the emergency center of the North Branch of Nanchang No.1 Hospital in Jiangxi Province. He has already traveled to Wuhan as a member of the first medical team from Jiangxi and is working at the Wuhan No.5 Hospital. Our NIO users taking action during this outbreak encourages even more individual users to also do their part.</p>

          <p>It’s almost time! Round one of the 2018/2019 ABB FIA Formula E Championship season, the SAUDIA Ad Diriyah e-Prix in Saudi Arabia, is quite literally just around the corner and marks the start of an incredibly exciting new chapter for NIO. </p>

<p>Taking place on Saturday, 15th December, the first race of Season 5 – which promises to be another ground-breaking campaign for Formula E with new cars, a new race format and enhanced schedule – triggers the start of a seven month journey across five continents.</p>

<p>Fans of the world’s only electric single-seater championship will, for the first time, witness the Acronis-backed teal and white NIO 004 Generation 2 chassis in competitive action in the extremely capable hands of drivers Oliver Turvey and Tom Dillmann.</p>

<p>Other than the official week of testing at Valencia in Spain in mid-October, the opening event of Season 5 will be the first time all of the Formula E teams have been together on track with their new cars. With the 21-turn street circuit at Ad Diriyah providing a brand new challenge too, the opening event of the 2018/2019 championship will be impressive.</p>

<p><strong>Heightened performance, evolving technology and even more excitement</strong></p>

<p>In addition to new cars for Season 5, there are a variety of other changes and improvements to the ultra-popular all-electric championship ahead of the latest campaign. Energy storage capacity has been doubled, so drivers no longer need to swap cars in the mid-race pit-stops.</p>

<p>Each e-Prix will now be run over a timed duration of 45 minutes, plus one lap, which means energy management will be even more critical over the course of the race distance. There is also a new performance boosting ‘Attack Mode’ for Season 5, which will become available when drivers pass through a clearly marked activation zone and provide an extra 25kW of power. This is in addition to the retention of FANBOOST where spectators can vote in-race to give their top five favourite drivers a temporary power boost. </p>

          <p>Jamie Chadwick, the only female driver to win a British Formula 3 Championship race, will make a high-profile test debut with ABB FIA Formula E Championship team NIO in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday 16th December – the day after the opening e-Prix of Season 5. </p>

<p>Determined to help provide key opportunities on the international stage for the best young female racing talent, NIO is absolutely delighted to confirm 20-year-old Jamie for the six-hour test at the Ad Diriyah Street Circuit.</p>

<p>The British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) ‘Rising Star’, from Tetbury in Gloucestershire, will pilot the NIO 004 chassis.</p>

<p>Making her car racing debut in 2013 in the UK-based Ginetta Junior Championship, after winning a coveted scholarship, Jamie made the leap into endurance racing in the British GT4 Championship in 2015 sharing an Aston Martin V8 Vantage with Ross Gunn. The pairing went on to win the title, with Jamie becoming the youngest and first ever female GT4 Champion.</p>

<p>Moving into single-seater competition in 2017 in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, in her sophomore F3 season this year Jamie made national headlines as the first ever lady racer to win a British F3 race with a superb victory at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.</p>

<p>Away from on-track competition, she has recently been confirmed as an ambassador for the Dare to be Different initiative which seeks to inspire the next generation of female racers and boost participation of women across all forms of motorsport.</p>

          <p>Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain, provided the venue this week for three intensive and rewarding days of pre-season ABB FIA Formula E Championship testing, where NIO drivers Tom Dillmann and Oliver Turvey enjoyed a positive start to preparations for Season 5.</p>

<p>Making good progress over the course of the test, which took place in the dry on Tuesday, 16th October, and Wednesday, 17th October, ahead of a rain-affected run on Friday, 19th October, the Acronis-backed NIO squad concluded the week satisfied with the development completed in all conditions.</p>

<p>While the Valencia track isn’t representative of the street circuit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which will host the opening e-Prix of the season in December, NIO was still able to undertake important race set-up work with the No.8 and No.16 NIO Sport 004 race cars.  </p>

<p><strong>Tom Dillmann, Race Driver, NIO Formula E Team: </strong></p>

<p>“We did a lot of work and tried many different things. We got some dry running which was good for us. We are not currently at the top of the time sheets, but we have gathered plenty of data to look at which we will analyse so that we can put together a good overall package for the first race.”</p>

<p>“It has been good to test on a different track which has many different characteristics with a lot of fast, flowing corners. It was a good test for our new car. To be able to really test our new systems under these conditions has meant that we have made positive progress over the last three days. Obviously, you always want more time to test and to improve especially with a new car. Today the weather was changeable which has given us a chance to try the car in the rain. We ran through a lot of checks and have managed to cover a number of things, so we have plenty of data to help us understand what we need to do to give us the best package for the first race.”</p>

          <p>All routes point to Valencia in Spain for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship this week where leading team NIO will join its fellow Season 5 competitors for the eagerly awaited three-day official pre-season test, which begins on Tuesday, 16th October.</p>

<p>Hot on the heels of NIO’s spectacular 2018/2019 launch ceremony in the Copper Box at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London last week, where French driver Tom Dillmann was confirmed alongside Oliver Turvey for the new Formula E campaign, the squad is absolutely relishing the first group test of the autumn. </p>

<p>Notably too, of course, this week’s outing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia will be the first chance for fans to see the newly liveried Acronis-branded teal and white #BlueSkyComing NIO 004 Generation 2 race chassis in action.</p>

<p>NIO’s exciting new driver line-up of Dillmann and Turvey will be looking to make the best possible start to official preparations for Season 5, which begins in Saudi Arabia in December, and all at the team are determined to get the pre-season programme underway successfully. </p>

<p>“After a long summer of testing as a Manufacturer outfit, the three-day pre-season test at Valencia is the first time officially that the NIO Formula E Race Team will re-group since the New York e-Prix which rounded off Season 4.</p>

<p>It will also be the first time Oliver and Tom will be driving together as team-mates and whilst they will both be working through their own test programs, it will be interesting to see how the newest addition to the NIO Formula E Team fares against the well-established Briton.”</p>

          <p>Leading ABB FIA Formula E Championship Team NIO has today confirmed it is parting ways with Italian driver Luca Filippi ahead of Season 5, with more announcements regarding the 2018/2019 driver line-up to follow in due course. </p>

<p>Filippi, who piloted the squad’s #68 NIO 003 car in the recently concluded fourth season of the prestigious all-electric open-wheel motor racing championship, is wished well in his future endeavours by all at NIO and thanked for his hard work, application and commitment. </p>

<p>The experienced 33-year-old, from Savigliano in Italy, was a points scorer for NIO in Formula E Season 4 and he certainly made an impact on his championship debut with a top 10 result in the opening round, the Hong Kong ePrix. Additionally, he has played a key role in testing and developing the NIO 004 Generation 2 race chassis ahead of Season 5.</p>

<p>NIO, of course, won the inaugural FIA Formula E Driver’s Championship crown in the 2014/2015 season with Nelson Piquet Jnr and has been an integral part of the world’s first electric motor racing series since its inception. </p>

“Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luca for his commitment to the role of race driver with the NIO Formula E Team, something that he undertook with immense dedication and pride, in what proved to be the most competitive season in the championship’s history.</p>

<p>Whilst it was a challenging inaugural season for Luca, he remained focused and energised and this has certainly helped the team with the initial development of the NIO 004 car over the summer months, whilst Oliver has continued to recover from his hand injury sustained in the penultimate race of Season 4 in NYC.</p>

<p>However, with Season 5 firmly in our sights and having bold ambitions as NIO’s racing operation, we have decided to make changes to our race driver line-up and as a result we have to say goodbye and good luck to Luca.”</p>

<p>Season 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will commence on 15th December at the Ad Diriyah Street Circuit in Saudi Arabia. The 2018/2019 campaign will be contested over 13 rounds and will conclude with a double-header in New York City, USA, on 13th/14th July 2019.</p>
